Submission of the Asian Migrants Coordinating Body (AMCB) to the HK Executive Council on the suspension of the levy

 AMCB’s views and position on the planned suspension of the levy in 2008, submitted to the Executive Council of the Hong Kong government. The Hong Kong government first introduced the levy in October 2003 for hiring foreign domestic helpers. At that time, the economy was in a recession. It was suspended in 2008, and eventually lifted in January 2013.
