APMM recognizes that welfare
assistance to individuals is indispensable but it is merely
a palliative solution and it breeds a dependency that is
not developmental in the long term. Education is a potent
tool in organizing. APMM seeks to raise migrant workers
consciousness, encourage the growth of their own organizing,
leadership development, social services skills like counselling
and para-legal skills.
