the same grave impacts of globalization and the WTO.

the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of GMA last July

Indonesia
Legal System and Protection for Migrant Workers
Migrant workers are probably the biggest irony in Indonesia
today. As a compliment, government officials call them
“foreign reserve hero” because of their
enormous contribution to the Indonesian economy. Indonesian
migrants remit billions of money from all over the world,
mainly from neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Singapore,
Hongkong and the Middle East. On the other hand, the
Indonesian government seems too reluctant to provide
appropriate and effective legal protection to those
workers. |
