  This two-part research is an exploration on the place of remittances of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to the Philippine economy. OFW remittance has always been considered to be one main sources, if not the main source, of the dollars for the Philippines. The research deals on the forms and impacts of OFW remittance. The current policies of the Philippine government on OFW remittance is further explored in the second part of the research. This research was submitted ot the Asia Pacific Research Network (APRN).

  A study on the historical development of the Filipino progressive migrants movement. It chronicles the start and the progress of the movement in general and also in particular countries Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. The research also includes lessons drawn up from the experiences of Filipino migrant organizations.
