Welcome Edmond, Our Intern From University of HK

Edmond is one of our three interns for summer from the University of Hong Kong.

Currently, Edmond is staying with us at the APMM office while integrating with migrant workers.

Read more about him below.

Greetings! I’m Leung Yu Sik, a current second year studying Geography and Sociology in HKU and I am so thankful to work at APMM this summer. I have been working at APMM for three weeks already. Apart from conducting the search on food access, I also engage in the two –way discussions on topics regarding the migration, such as the situation about forced migration.

I was born and raised in Hong Kong and our family does not hire any domestic worker. Since the domestic workers are living in Hong Kong, they are a part of the community. I would like to take this golden opportunity to get to know more about them, and also to understand the stories from their perspectives.

I am looking forward to the following weeks of my internship since it may help me with my future career.
