[OUT NOW!] Growing Informality and Work Precarity in Asia Pacific: Zeroing in on cases from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand
Read and dowload our multi-country research on informal work here
Coming from the first Workers’ Study Conference of the Initiatives for Workers’ Solidarity in Asia Pacific (IWSAP) last November 2024, APMM is happy to share with you the completed and full version of the presentations we made in the event! The content of this multi-country research deep dives into the condition of informal workers, in which many are migrants, in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. Inside, the grounded realities of informality and precarity are unpacked, creating a space for a deeper understanding of the ever-evolving world of work. Workers continue to toil and face exploitation while corporations and governments strive to keep the status quo. To combat this, migrants push for alternatives and policy reforms that will transform the world into a worker-centered arena rooted in social an development justice.
